This privacy policy and our website are created and maintained with utmost care. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information provided. The content shown here is for general information about our video production services only and does not replace individual legal or data protection advice. If you find a technical error, a broken link or outdated information on this page, we accept no liability — in this case please send a short email to info@videoworkly.de so we can correct the issue.

2. General notes
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR, BDSG, TTDSG) and this privacy policy.
3. Hosting by Hostinger
This website is hosted with Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus ("Hostinger"). When you visit our site, Hostinger records various log files including your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient provision). A data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Hostinger. Further information: https://www.hostinger.com/privacy-policy
4. Server log files
Hostinger automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, time of request, IP address. This data is not combined with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log files are retained for a maximum of 14 days.
5. SSL/TLS encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can identify an encrypted connection by "https://" in the address bar and the lock icon.
6. Cookies and local storage
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. localStorage). We distinguish between:
- Necessary cookies: for basic functions, incl. storage of your language and theme selection (vw-lang, vw-theme) and your cookie setting (vw-cookie-consent-v2). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR resp. § 25 (2) (2) TTDSG.
- Statistics cookies : if activated, anonymous usage data help improve the site. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).
- Marketing cookies : if activated, enable ad tracking on external platforms such as Meta and Google. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).
On your first visit, you are asked for consent via our cookie banner. You can change your selection at any time by clearing the cookie settings in your browser and reloading the page.
7. Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for follow-up questions.
What data is processed: name, email address, optionally phone number, message content, optional additional fields (budget, topic).
Purpose: handling your inquiry, follow-up, contract initiation and – if a contract is concluded – contract execution. This expressly includes the right to contact you by email or phone to respond to your inquiry.
Legal basis:
- Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR – if your inquiry relates to contract performance or pre-contractual measures.
- Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR – your explicit consent upon submitting the form (checkbox).
- Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in effective inquiry handling.
Retention: Data remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention obligations – particularly under tax and commercial law (6 or 10 years) – remain unaffected.
8. Inquiries by email, phone or fax
If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b), (f) or (a) GDPR.
9. Newsletter and business communication
If you subscribe to our newsletter or conclude a contract as a customer, we may contact you for the following purposes:
- Newsletter with industry information, practical tips and updates on our services (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR – consent)
- Information about own similar products and services to existing customers (§ 7 (3) UWG; Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR)
- Contract execution (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR)
You can object to receiving newsletters and promotional emails at any time, with no cost beyond basic transmission rates. An informal email to info@videoworkly.de is sufficient.
10. Data transfer to third parties
We do not transfer your personal data to third parties except:
- You have given explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
- The transfer is necessary for contract performance (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), e.g. to subcontractors like voice talent or animators under a confidentiality agreement.
- We are legally obliged to disclose (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
- Transfer is permitted within data processing with our hosting provider (Hostinger) under Art. 28 GDPR.
11. Your rights as a data subject
You have the right at any time to:
- Access your personal data stored with us (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability in a structured, common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

12. External fonts (Google Fonts)
This site uses web fonts provided by Google for uniform typography. On page load, your browser loads the required web fonts into the cache. A connection is made to Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Google thereby learns that our website was accessed via your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. 13. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 on this site, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse your use of the website (time on site, pages viewed, device and location information). Generated data is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent via our cookie banner) and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You can revoke consent at any time via the cookie settings. More info: https://policies.google.com/privacy. A data processing agreement (DPA) has been concluded with Google. For US transfers we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
14. Google Ads & Conversion Tracking
We use Google Ads and its conversion tracking and possibly remarketing features. Provider: Google Ireland Limited. A cookie is set if you reach our site via a Google ad. These cookies measure the success of our advertising and show you more relevant ads in search and display networks.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke consent at any time via the cookie settings or Google Ads settings: https://adssettings.google.com/.
15. Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram Pixel, optional)
We use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta") on this site. The Meta Pixel captures your usage behaviour and enables us to target you with ads on Facebook and Instagram (retargeting) and measure the effectiveness of our ads (conversion tracking). Data is transferred to Meta in the USA.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke consent at any time via cookie settings or your Facebook ad settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads. A Joint Controller Agreement under Art. 26 GDPR has been concluded with Meta.
16. TikTok Pixel & other platform trackers
We use the TikTok Pixel of TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited and possibly other platform pixels (e.g. LinkedIn Insight Tag) to measure ad campaigns and build audiences. Function and legal basis are similar to the Meta Pixel. Revocation at any time via cookie settings.
17. Embedded YouTube videos
Some pages of this website (in particular the portfolio) may include embedded YouTube videos. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When a page with an embedded YouTube video is loaded, a connection to YouTube servers is established – but only when you actively start the video. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can directly associate your browsing behaviour with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
18. Contact and follow-up communication
When you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we store your details (name, contact data, request text) to handle your request and any follow-up enquiries. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient customer communication).
We expressly reserve the right, after an initial request from you, to:
- contact you by email with further information, offers and examples,
- call you back if you provided a phone number,
- send you relevant follow-up information about our services,
- inform you of particularly interesting campaigns or discounts.
If you do not wish further contact, an informal email to info@videoworkly.de is enough. We will then immediately remove your data from our active contact system and only store it within the framework of statutory retention periods (e.g. German HGB, AO).
19. Software and tools used (overview)
For our daily work — both in video production and in website operation — we use the following software and services. A complete, current list is available on our Software & Tools page:
- Video production & post: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, Blender
- Design & concept: Figma, Canva, CapCut
- AI & avatar: ChatGPT (OpenAI), Midjourney, Runway, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Synthesia
- Website hosting: Hostinger International Ltd. (see section 3 above)
- Analytics & advertising: Google Analytics 4, Google Ads / conversion tracking, Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok Pixel, possibly LinkedIn Insight Tag (see sections 13 – 16)
For all external tools we ensure GDPR-compliant configuration and conclude data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR) where required.
20. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services.
